Cookies to test improvements
We constantly test our website to give you the best user experience. We want to know whether changes we make to the website are also improvements. Therefore, we often carry out improvements in an A/B test first. For this, we use Google Optimize. This allows visitors to see a modified version of the website at the same time. In this way, we continuously optimise the website. Cookies are used to ensure that you see the correct version of a page and to measure results.

To see how visitors use our website, we also use Hotjar. This tool records mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling behaviour of visitors on our website. Hotjar collects information about pages visited, the browser you use and the type of device and operating system used. We use this data to improve the website.

We use online ads to draw attention to our products. We prefer to do this as targeted as possible, to keep costs low and not show you unnecessary ads. We use Google Adwords, Google Dynamic Remarketing, Facebook Custom Audiences (we do not share our customer base with Facebook) and Microsoft Bing Ads for this purpose. This way, we can target advertising and keep costs down.

These cookies make it possible to:

- Keep track of which ads you have already seen. This prevents you from seeing the same ads too often.
- Track how many visitors click on our ads.
- Track how many visitors buy a service from us after clicking on an ad. This is necessary to analyse the effectiveness of advertisements.
- To track whether you have already purchased certain services from us. You will then not see unnecessary ads.

Even if you do not accept cookies, you may still see advertisements from us online. This is because not all our ads use cookies. However, cookies allow us to show you more relevant ads and not unnecessary ads.

Performance-based marketing
Shoebrand B.V. uses Daisycon's performance-based marketing service. Performance-based marketing is a fair form of advertising because the advertiser only pays for actual and measurable results. To pay for this measurable result, a match needs to be made between the publisher/website that referred the visitor and the transaction generated as a result.

To make use of this service, we provide anonymous transaction data to Daisycon. This data includes; product descriptions, revenue value, and demographic and geographical characteristics. These cannot be traced back to an individual and are only used for statistical purposes and shared with Daisycon. In addition to the anonymous transaction data, we pass on the following data that falls under the AVG / GDPR; 1) pseudonymised transaction IDs. These transaction IDs are not shared with third parties and only used by us for validation purposes. 2) The technical process also transfers your IP address to Daisycon. This address is only stored anonymously in the Daisycon system.

For the above service, our partner Daisycon stores data and so-called affiliate cookies and matching processes are used. The use of affiliate cookies, matching data and data storage does not pose a threat to the privacy of visitors to this website. See Daisycon's privacy statement on this subject.

No consumer profiles (behavioural user profiles) are created via Daisycon's services. With regard to data processing within the AVG / GDPR, we invoke the processing basis Justified Interest. However, we do need to inform our visitors about the use. For the storage and processing of this transaction data, a processing agreement has been concluded with Daisycon.
