By regularly cleaning and drying your shoes, the odour gradually diminishes. This applies to all types of shoes. Even with old shoes. However, this does take some time. Unfortunately the smell does not go away in a few runs...

We recommend refreshing your shoes each time you take them off, for at least a month. Out of 100 people who do this, only 1 percent isn't satisfied. That is why we offer a 90-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can return your Shoefresh for free and you'll get your money back.

Give your Shoefresh Opod a fixed place in your home, near the shoes. This invites you to put your shoes on it every time.

Use the Shoefresh Opod in a well-ventilated space of at least 2.4 m³, such as the utility room, garage, or hall. Also open a door or window briefly. This prevents any odours from your shoes or the cleaning process from bothering you.

A high contact temperature is very bad for shoes, which is why you should never put your shoes on the heater (or against the stove). However, drying your shoes gradually with warm air is 100% safe.

For example, you can tolerate warm air of 80°C in a sauna, whereas touching a heating pipe at the same temperature would cause an immediate burn.

Note: always choose the "LEATHER" programme with a drying temperature of 40°C for leather, GORE-TEX, and suede shoes. These shoes are significantly more delicate.

We designed the shoe holders to fit almost all shoes. Small and large. So you can use them with your whole family!

“In 2013 I started developing a solution to freshen up smelly, wet shoes after sports, so that unpleasant odors are quickly removed from the house and shoes have a longer lifespan. The first version was already a success and was recommended by (top) athletes and pedicures, but now we are taking the next step with the Shoefresh Opod.

Based on the many tests and discussions with users and experts, we launched an improved model of the Shoefresh in 2023. The Shoefresh Opod has improvements and refinements compared to its predecessor and is suitable for all types of shoes, with sports shoes in particular.”

- Anton van den Brand, founder and owner of Shoefresh

Is Active Oxygen (ozone) safe?
The Shoefresh is CE approved and found to be 100% safe. The amount of ozone used by the Shoefresh Opod is very small and is well below the legal maximum. In addition, the ozone decays back into oxygen within a few minutes. So after cleaning, nothing remains in the shoe and in the room. The cleaning process is completely environmentally friendly: no chemicals are added.

Can the Active Oxygen (ozone) run out? Do you need refills?
The Shoefresh generates the active oxygen itself by means of an ozone generator. This does not need refills.

Tip: place the Shoefresh in a well-ventilated space of at least 2.4 m³, such as the utility room, garage or hall. This way you will not be bothered by the smell of your shoes and the cleaning.
